Provisions for submitting contributions (approved June 15, 2002)



1. Contributions are restricted to members of the Japanese Research Association for Chinese Economy.  In the case of joint authorship, at least one person must be a member of the Association. 

2. All material submitted for publication must be submitted exclusively to the JCES, and must not have previously appeared in any other magazine. 

3. Manuscripts for contribution shall be classified as follows: Articles (approximately 50 x 400 character pages for manuscripts in Japanese or approximately 8,000 to 10,000 words for manuscripts in English, including figures and tables in both cases), research notes (maximum 30 pages for manuscripts in Japanese or maximum 7,000 words for manuscripts in English, including figures and tables in both cases), surveys, introduction of source materials, book reviews and other papers. 


4. To submit a contribution, send two copies of the manuscript by registered mail to the Editorial Board at the address below:

5. Acceptance of manuscripts

(1) Acceptance of manuscripts shall be determined by the Editorial Board based on reviews by two or more referees appointed by the Editorial Board for this purpose. 

(2) As a general rule, notice of acceptance of manuscripts will be given within 3 months of the manuscript being received by the Editorial Board. 

6. Manuscripts (including figures and tables) will not be returned under any circumstances.
